Rag’n’bone man - “Human” @ 2017 echo awards
I was thrilled to arrange and contract the horns for this Rag’n’Bone Man performance of his hit single “Human” at the 2017 ECHO Awards (German Grammys). He ended up winning Best International Artist and Best International Newcomer
HBO: Eastbound & Down starring Danny McBride
YES. I was already a huge fan of Eastbound & Down when they decided to license Ikebe Shakedown’s song “Don’t Contradict”

This one was written, recorded, and revised over ten times in less than 24 hours from my old bedroom studio - super fun!

Super exciting to have my Ikebe Shakedown composition “The Hold Up” used in the feature film Our Brand Is Crisis, starring Sandra Bullock and Billy Bob Thornton
MINI: INTERNATIONAL COMMERCIAL
The car was kind of a flop, but hey - super cool to have an Ikebe Shakedown song behind an international MINI commercial!

It was so fun writing this horn arrangement for Kelly Finnigan - he’s a huge inspiration and a great homie. I highly recommend checking him out, and also his singing/keys with Monophonics (Bay Area Psych Soul)
